The Port of Nawiliwili Kauai

Kauai is perhaps the most beautiful and scenic of all the Hawaiian Islands. Nawiliwili Kauai is the island’s port of call for many cruise ships, and for good reason; as there is much to see and do in the region of Nawiliwili.

While visiting the Island of Kaua, you may want to either rent a moped, or book a tour with the local tour guide. There are many sites to see on Kaua, but they are not close together and will require some form of transportation.

Some sites you won’t want to miss while in Nawiliwili Kauai include the Tunnel of Trees, which is a lush corridor of Eucalyptus trees that can be viewed while on your way to Po'ipu and Old Koloa Town.

The largest canyon in the Pacific is Waimea Canyon. This canyon is 10 miles long and 1 mile wide, and boasts some truly spectacular views. Waimea Canyon is in the care of Koke'e State Park. The state park has ranger’s stations where you’ll easily find maps of the many trails that run through the canyon.

There are many additional sites to see on Kauai, plus you can take a helicopter tour, do some whale watching, snorkeling, swimming, or rent an ATV and head out into the backcountry for some adventurous sightseeing.

The Island of Kauai has been the setting for several different movies, including Jurassic Park. Don’t miss this tropical paradise when you take your Hawaiian vacation.
